Khalid ibn Khdash al-Mhlbi

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْهَيْثَمِ، خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشِ بْنِ عَجْلاَنَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا قَتَادَةَ، طَلَبَ غَرِيمًا لَهُ فَتَوَارَى عَنْهُ ثُمَّ وَجَدَهُ فَقَالَ إِنِّي مُعْسِرٌ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ آللَّهِ قَالَ آللَّهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يُنْجِيَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ كُرَبِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَلْيُنَفِّسْ عَنْ مُعْسِرٍ أَوْ يَضَعْ عَنْهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Abdullah b. Abu Qatada reported that Abu Qatada (Allah be pleased with him) demanded (the payment of his debt) from his debtor but he disappeared; later on he found him and he said:I am hard up financially, whereupon he said: (Do you state it) by God? He said: By God. Upon this he (Qatada) said: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who loves that Allah saves him from the torments of the Day of Resurrection should give respite to the insolvent or remit (his debt)

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، - ثِقَةٌ - حَدَّثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ قَتْلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ أَعْظَمُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ زَوَالِ الدُّنْيَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Buraidah that his father said:"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Killing a believer is more grievous before Allah than the extinction of the whole world

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ إِنَّ هَذَا الرَّجُلَ قَتَلَ أَخِي ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏"‏ اذْهَبْ فَاقْتُلْهُ كَمَا قَتَلَ أَخَاكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَاعْفُ عَنِّي فَإِنَّهُ أَعْظَمُ لأَجْرِكَ وَخَيْرٌ لَكَ وَلأَخِيكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ‏.‏ قَالَ فَخَلَّى عَنْهُ قَالَ فَأُخْبِرَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَأَلَهُ فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِمَا قَالَ لَهُ قَالَ فَأَعْنَفَهُ ‏"‏ أَمَا إِنَّهُ كَانَ خَيْرًا مِمَّا هُوَ صَانِعٌ بِكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ سَلْ هَذَا فِيمَ قَتَلَنِي ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Buraidah, from the father, that a man came to the Prophet and said:"This man killed my brother." He said: "Go and kill him as he killed your brother." The man said to him: "Fear Allah and let me go, for that will bring you a greater reward and will be better for you and your brother on the Day of Resurrection." So he let him go. The Prophet was told about that, so he asked him about it, and he told him what he had said. He said: "Pardoning him would be better for you than what he would have done for you on the Day of Resurrection when he said: 'O Lord, ask him why he killed me
