Ismail ibn Muslim al-`Abdi

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُتَوَكِّلِ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ، بَاتَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَقَامَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ فَخَرَجَ فَنَظَرَ فِي السَّمَاءِ ثُمَّ تَلاَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ فِي آلِ عِمْرَانَ ‏{‏ إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ‏}‏ حَتَّى بَلَغَ ‏{‏ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ‏}‏ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ فَتَسَوَّكَ وَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ اضْطَجَعَ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَخَرَجَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَتَلاَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَتَسَوَّكَ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى ‏.‏

Ibn 'Abbas reported that he spent a night at the house of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), The Apostle of Allah (way peace be upon him) got up for prayer in the latter part of the night. He went out and looked towards the sky and then recited this verse (190th) of AI-i-'Imran:" Verily in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of night and day." up to the (words)" save us from the torment of Hell." He then returned to his house, used the tooth-stick, performed the ablution, and then got up and offered the prayer. He than lay down on the bed. and again got up and went out and looked towards the sky and recited this verse (mentioned above), then returned, used the tooth-stick, performed ablution and again offered the prayer

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ وَالْبُرُّ بِالْبُرِّ وَالشَّعِيرُ بِالشَّعِيرِ وَالتَّمْرُ بِالتَّمْرِ وَالْمِلْحُ بِالْمِلْحِ مِثْلاً بِمِثْلٍ يَدًا بِيَدٍ فَمَنْ زَادَ أَوِ اسْتَزَادَ فَقَدْ أَرْبَى الآخِذُ وَالْمُعْطِي فِيهِ سَوَاءٌ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:Gold is to be paid for by gold, silver by silver, wheat by wheat, barley by barley, dates by dates, salt by salt, like by like, payment being made hand to hand. He who made an addition to it, or asked for an addition, in fact dealt in usury. The receiver and the giver are equally guilty

وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، رَافِعٍ ثُمَّ حَدَّثَنِيهِ عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ، رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا لاَقُو الْعَدُوِّ غَدًا وَلَيْسَ مَعَنَا مُدًى فَنُذَكِّي بِاللِّيطِ وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِقِصَّتِهِ وَقَالَ فَنَدَّ عَلَيْنَا بَعِيرٌ مِنْهَا فَرَمَيْنَاهُ بِالنَّبْلِ حَتَّى وَهَصْنَاهُ ‏.‏

Rafi' b. Khadij reported from his grandfather that he said:Allah's Messenger, we are going to encounter the enemy tomorrow, but we do not have long knives with us, should we then slaughter them with the peel of the reed? The rest of the hadith is the same. (And at the end the words are):" A camel became wild (and got out of our control). We attacked it with arrows until we made it fall down

وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي، الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ مَنْ شَرِبَ النَّبِيذَ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيَشْرَبْهُ زَبِيبًا فَرْدًا أَوْ تَمْرًا فَرْدًا أَوْ بُسْرًا فَرْدًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:He who amongst you drinks Nabidh should drink that (prepared either from) grapes alone, or from dates alone, or from unripe dates alone (and not by mixing them with one another)

وَحَدَّثَنِيهِ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، الْعَبْدِيُّ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ قَالَ نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ نَخْلِطَ بُسْرًا بِتَمْرٍ أَوْ زَبِيبًا بِتَمْرٍ أَوْ زَبِيبًا بِبُسْرٍ ‏.‏ وَقَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ شَرِبَهُ مِنْكُمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ وَكِيعٍ ‏.‏

Isma'il b. Muslim al-'Abadi reported on the authority of the same chain of transmitters:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prohibited us that we should mix dry dates with unripe dates or (mix) grapes with dry dates (and prepare Nabidh). He also said: He who amongst you drinks-the rest of the hadith is the same

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَاسِعٍ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ لِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ تَمَتَّعْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثَلاَثَةٌ هَذَا أَحَدُهُمْ لاَ بَأْسَ بِهِ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ شَيْخٌ يَرْوِي عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ لاَ بَأْسَ بِهِ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ يَرْوِي عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ وَالْحَسَنِ مَتْرُوكُ الْحَدِيثِ ‏.‏

It was narrated that Mutarrif bin `Abdullah said:"`Imran bin Husain said to me: 'We performed Tamattu` with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).'" Abu Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa'i) said: There are three (named) Isma`il bin Muslim; this is one of them, and there is no harm in him. And Shaikh Isma`il bin Muslim who reports from Abu Tufail, there is no harm in him. And Isma`il bin Muslim who reports from Az-Zuhri and Al-Hasan, he is abandoned in Hadith

أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، قَالَ قَالَ لِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَدْ تَمَتَّعَ وَتَمَتَّعْنَا مَعَهُ قَالَ فِيهَا قَائِلٌ بِرَأْيِهِ ‏.‏

It was narrated that Mutarrif said:"Imran bin Husain said to me; 'The Messenger of Allah performed 'Umrah and Hajj together, and we performed 'Umrah and Hajj together with him, and whoever says anything different, that is his own personal opinion

أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُتَوَكِّلِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يُخْلَطَ بُسْرٌ بِتَمْرٍ أَوْ زَبِيبٌ بِتَمْرٍ أَوْ زَبِيبٌ بِبُسْرٍ وَقَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ شَرِبَهُ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيَشْرَبْ كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُ فَرْدًا تَمْرًا فَرْدًا أَوْ بُسْرًا فَرْدًا أَوْ زَبِيبًا فَرْدًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said:"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade mixing Al-Busr with dried dates, or raisins with dried dates, or raisins with Al-Busr, and he said: 'Whoever among you (wants to) drink them, let him drink each one of them on its own: dried dates on their own, or Al-Busr on their own, or raisins on their own

أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى أَنْ يَخْلِطَ بُسْرًا بِتَمْرٍ أَوْ زَبِيبًا بِتَمْرٍ أَوْ زَبِيبًا بِبُسْرٍ وَقَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيَشْرَبْ كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُ فَرْدًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا أَبُو الْمُتَوَكِّلِ اسْمُهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ‏.‏

Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that:The Prophet [SAW] forbade mixing Al-Busr with dried dates, or raisins with dried dates, or raisins with Al-Busr, and he said: "Whoever among you (wants to) drink them, let him drink each one on its own

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَافَى، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عِمْرَانَ - عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى أَنْ يُنْبَذَ التَّمْرُ وَالزَّبِيبُ وَالتَّمْرُ وَالْبُسْرُ وَقَالَ ‏ "‏ انْتَبِذُوا الزَّبِيبَ فَرْدًا وَالتَّمْرَ فَرْدًا وَالْبُسْرَ فَرْدًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو كَثِيرٍ اسْمُهُ يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ‏.‏

It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri that:The Prophet [SAW] forbade soaking dried dates and raisins, and dried dates and Al-Busr, and he said: "Soak raisins on their own, and dried dates on their own, and Al-Busr on their own
